5 Things to Pack

Wondering what to pack for your weekend getaway on South Lake Havasu? Other than your bathing suit, flip flops, and a big happy smile, we came up with a short list of things that we think you will find more than helpful during your staycation here with us at Havasu Springs Resort. Read more on 5 Things to Pack For Your Havasu Springs Staycation

1. Ice Chests

Ice chests are great for traveling. You can pack up your own special food and drinks to spend the day at the beach with your family, or hit the lake for a boat journey without worrying about what you are going to do for mealtimes. We recommend packing as many ice chests (or as large of one) as you’ll need to meet your on-the-go refrigeration requirements during your lakeside getaway.

2. Lifejackets (PFD)

If you are planning spending time on the water during your stay, and we truly hope that you are, then packing your own lifejacket or PFD (personal floatation device) is a good idea. You can’t go wrong with a tried-and-true standard orange PFD, but chances are you might already own a custom one that suits your personal needs better. A standard PFD can be used for many different water sports, such as boating, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, waterskiing and fishing. Another pro Most standard PFDs provide pockets for things like snacks, tools, sunscreen, sunglasses, and emergency gear. To learn more about PFD safety and helpful tips click here.

3. E-Z Ups & Folding Chairs

Be made in the shade during your vacation beach days and pack your own E-Z up instant canopy. Many people like this type of canopies for vacations because it only takes one or two people to set up and take down, and doesn’t require the use of any tools. We also think it is always nice to have a little private shaded area during those long beach days when you just don’t want to go home— but you also don’t want to be in the direct sunlight or water. While not absolutely necessary, portable folding chairs are absolutely amazing for lounging in while underneath your E-Z up. Folding chairs are also great if you don’t want to get your clean beach towels sandy, or you can prop one in shallow water so you can relax and be in the lake at the same time.  Winning!

4. Beach Towels and Pool Toys

Packing your own beach towels, water toys, and rafts make for an easier and more entertaining day on the lake or at the pool. We provide air pumps for easy floating inflating at our Boat Shop, and also across from our Springs restaurant by the gas pumping station.

5. Portable Music Device

Whether it is a Bluetooth speaker or a good old fashion boom-box stereo if you want to add some music to your lake days, we recommend packing some type of portable music player for your personal listening enjoyment. Vacations are always better with a customized soundtrack.  Please note that we proudly offer a variety of most of these products at our Outer Harbor Bar & Store. We simply recognize that you be as comfortable as possible during your stay with us sometimes means packing your own personal items— instead of forgetting them and being forced to buy new ones. We very much look forward to having you stay with us! Happy packing!
